For a cleaning provider, that means concretely: the products used and their impact on natural environments, water management during outdoor interventions, and how equipment and consumable suppliers are selected. A certificate renewed without revisiting these criteria stays valid on paper, but not in substance.<\\\/p>\\n<h2>What does lifecycle analysis require from your suppliers?<\\\/h2>\\n<p>The 2026 standard asks certified organizations to widen their scope to outsourced providers, including when the activity itself is subcontracted. A certified company used to documenting only its own impact. It will now need to document its cleaning provider's impact too: products used, volumes consumed per site, equipment suppliers, how teams travel between sites. A provider already organized to trace these elements has a head start. A provider that can't document anything doesn't remove the risk \u2014 it just passes it on to the client, who will have to answer for it at audit.<\\\/p>\\n<h2>What does management of change (MOC) mean day to day?<\\\/h2>\\n<p>Clause 6.3 requires identifying any change that could affect environmental outcomes, planning it in a controlled way, and folding it into internal governance. A new product supplier, a new intervention method, a site change: each now gets documented before it's applied, not after the fact when an auditor spots it. The typical case: a product range swapped mid-year with no written trace. Six months later, the auditor asks for the date and reason for the change, and no one can answer.<\\\/p>\\n<h2>Is your current ISO 14001:2015 certificate still enough?<\\\/h2>\\n<p>For now, yes. A three-year transition period applies, until April 2029. But a certificate renewed unchanged \u2014 without integrating biodiversity, lifecycle analysis, and change management \u2014 will no longer mean the same thing to a client checking their provider's compliance.
